Join yoga instructor Amanda Wooden in this series of 7 classes in which we question old habits of transition, get a little subtler, and make more beautiful sense.
Each week we will focus on a different area of the body, explore a certain quality of movement, and develop a broad spectrum of tools to use in your personal practice.
I. Muladhara: Finding profound stability in each posture.
II. Svadhisthana: A deep rolling exploration of your own version of each pose/moment.
III. Manipura: The center of the universe – that’s you. Core work.
IV. Anahata: Backbends that start from inside to shine out.
V. Vishuddha: Effortless expansion in each pose and transition.
VI. Ajna: Fun and focused class with eyes closed and open.
VII. Sahasrara: Culmination. Here, now, and how.
Amanda teaches yoga from a contemporary dance perspective; using asana as a framework for encouraging somatic inquiry and self-expression.
